Preventing Tipped Litterboxes and Water Bowls

If your rabbit likes to dig litter over the sides of the litterbox, try a litter box with a plastic lip (available in the cat section of most pet supply shops) or get a larger litterbox. To keep a 'sporting' rabbit from tipping his litterbox, drill a hole through the side, and fasten the box to the side of the cage using a cable tie.

Some rabbits also enjoy tipping their food and water bowls, too. To prevent water and food bowls from being tipped, use large heavy ceramic crocks or metal bowls that attach to the side of the cage or provide a water bottle. Remember, though, that rabbits generally drink more from a bowl than a bottle, and not all rabbits will drink from bottles.
