TOTALLY PETS SHOW
September 26 - 28, 2003 in Mississauga
On September 19 - 21, we participated
in the first annual Totally Pets Show, held at the Hershey Center
in Mississauga, ON. Despite the rain, we had a lot of people stop
by our booth to pick up information or ask questions.

Alice

We showcased three adoptable rabbits
from Rabbit
Rescue Inc at this show: Buckwheat, a lovely neutered male
ruby-eyed white angora; Alice, a friendly black and white mixed
breed female; and Maggie, a cute little silver martin. Although
there was a lot of interest - especially in Buckwheat - no one
was adopted from this show. Maggie has since found a forever home.
Alice and Buckwheat, however, are still patiently waiting to be
a permanent member of someone's family.

Thanks to the Oxford Meadows Hay Company, Stittsville, ON, for
donating hay for us to sell and to the Canadian Pet Connection,
Oakville, ON for their donation of Oxbow Bunny Basics T pellets.
Thanks also to the show organizers for inviting us to participate
in this show. It was a much appreciated opportunity to educate.

Children's
Spring Break Presentations
March 8 - 14, 2003
Various Libraries, London
Aour volunteers did the presentations for children
during March break at various library locations in London. These presentations
focused on how to properly care for pet rabbits and are open to children
of all ages (limited to 15 - 20 children per session).
Thanks to Natasha for arranging this
event and to all members who participated in the presentations.
All About Pets Show
April 11 - 13, 2003
International Center, Mississauga
We participated in the All About Pets Show again in
2003. As usual, we had rabbits who were looking for permanent homes
at our booth.
